Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Released October 2008, Fujitsu's convertible-tablet Lifebook T2020 is a 12.1-inch updated version of the T1010, now including a choice between two low-energy Core 2 Duo processors and an option to replace the 1280x800 screen with an outdoor-friendly equivalent panel. Users are given a number of other dual choices with this tablet PC, such as a 7200rpm 80GB or 250GB hard drive, Windows Vista or XP, Intel's WiFi Link 5300 or Atheros' XSPAN module, and more. Standard RAM starts at 1GB but can be upgraded to 2GB or 4GB.

Fujitsu has included a shock-sensor function and spill resistant keyboard to give the Lifebook more durability while also installing several security features, including a fingerprint scanner, smart card slot, and BIOS Lock, among others. More T2020 improvements over the first model include an improved latch design between screen and base, and a battery life extending up to 11 hours.
