Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Successor to the P8010 model, Fujitsu's made-for-portability Lifebook P8020 sports a 12.1 inch Crystal View display and a light compact design weighing in at 2.9 pounds. Like the earlier model, the P8020 has a tightly trimmed sides with a touchpad and fingerprint reader, but the processor has been changed to a Centrino 2 and new features such as a 1.3 megapixel webcam are now part of the system. 

According to Engadget, buyers will be able to choose a 320 GB HDD or a 64GB or 128 GB SSD model, with up to 4GB of RAM. Other features included are a DVD burner, WiFi in a/b/g/n flavors, gigabit Ethernet, and a 6-cell battery . The Lifebook P8020 will be selling November 2008 for an expected retail price of $1799, although models with upgraded features and hard drives can sell for up to $2499.
