The Fujitsu LifeBook P1630 is an update to the company's ultraportable line of Tablet PCs. The P1630 has an 8.9-inch touchscreen with swiveling and tablet configurations. This unit comes with a 1.3 megapixel webcamera mounted in the top of the display, with the option of either an 80GB or 120GB hard-drive. Also optional will be Bluetooth technology.
Pending FCC approval, Fujitsu will offer optional, built-in 3G WWAN capability in early 2009. It will reportedly have an improved battery life from previous P-series models due to the latest Intel Centrino 2 processor technology via its dual-core Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 Ultra Low Voltage Processor. This will give the P1630 a predicted 6.15 hour battery life with the high-capacity battery option.
