The Falcon Northwest Fragbook DRX, which was released in December of 2008, is a gaming laptop intended as a desktop replacement, with a large selection of optional tweaks. Its specifications are much like those of a very high-end gaming desktop even without the optional upgrades. Some of these features include your choice of dual or quad-core processors (3.13 and 3.33 GHz for dual, 2.83 and 3.0 for quad), single or dual SLI-linked GeForce 9800 GTX graphics cores, and 4 GB of RAM. When buying it, you may choose between an 80 GB solid state drive or standard hard drives ranging from 160 GB to 320 GB. You're also given a choice between a DVD+/-RW or a Blu-ray RW optical drive.
However, with roughly an hour of battery life and a weight of 12 lbs., it is significantly heavier than most other laptops and has a poorly rated battery life. The Fragbook DRX comes in one of five colors: red, green, blue, rain, or flame and patterns. The DRX can be customized to your preference by using the Falcon Northwest site.
