Google Nexus One and HTC Supersonic 4G smartphone heading to Sprint

Dell's workstation notebook ships standard with an impressive amount of power for computationally intensive work, but its upgrade options really show off its scalability. A specialized version of the M6400, this M6400 Covet edition sports a newer 2.53Ghz Core 2 Duo T9400, an Nvidia Quadro FX 3700M with one full gigabyte of memory, and 2GB of system memory, up from the base-model's 2.26Ghz P8400 and Quadro FX 2700M and 1GB of system memory. Coated in a distinctive orange anodized metal cover, this special edition also features an Edge2Edge version of the 17-inch LCD display -- with a standard 1920x1200 resolution that is optional on the base -- and double the storage with a 160GB hard drive. Both models, however, can be upgraded to the quad core QX9300 2.53GHz processor with an enormous 12MB L2 cache, 16GB of system memory, and dual harddrives with an SSD option (the Covet topping out at 1TB with standard drives and 256GB with solid state).

Of course systems like these ship with all the standard business connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile broadband, UWB, and an ExpressCard slot, though the full-size keyboard does include a dedicated number pad and a jog shuttle near the touchpad for customized application control. Shipping early November 2008, this 8.5 pound monster is priced at just under $4,000.
