As the first fully tablet MacBook, the Axiotron ModBook has a tradition MacBook body with a touchscreen made for drawing, note-taking, typing, and handwriting. The system runs on Core 2 Duo processor, has the Firewire, USB, Bluetooth, and Ethernet options of the MacBook, and retains the same webcam. Among the slight differences, the Axiotron model has an improved LCD model, a magnesium alloy structure, and the tablet technology that includes stylus writing, two programmable side buttons, and an eraser.

For GPS lovers, the ModBook contains an internal GPS device that can tracks routes, tell times, and pinpoint location. As an additional perk, MacBook users can also choose to transform their current Macbooks into Axiotron Modbooks with a service launched by Axiotron October 2008, which switches the MacBook into the tablet version for approximately half the cost of buying a new ModBook. Prices for the new model start at $2629.00.
