Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Asus' G72GX is a 3D laptop. It has a 17.3-inch, 120 Hz 1080p display and it ships with one pair of active-shutter glasses—the same tech used by NVIDIA's 3D Vision, which we were very impressed by at CES earlier this year.

The specs haven't been announced, but they're likely similar to those of its 15.6-inch cousin, which includes an Intel Core i7 processor, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX160M GPU with 1 GB of video memory, 4 GB of RAM, and dual 320 GB hard drives. It's fairly hardcore. We're betting the pricing is too, but the dollar amount hasn't been announced yet.

We'll find out for sure by the time the laptop launches in the second quarter of next year, though.
