The Asus Eee PC 1004DN is the first netbook to have a super-multi optical disc drive. Most netbooks, in order to maintain the small size, light weight, and low cost that differentiates netbooks from regular notebooks have avoided integrated optical drives.  Asus originally showed off the 10-inch the device off at CES 2009. Aside from the integrated CD/DVD reader and burner, the Asus Eee PC 1004DN features a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N280 processor, 1GB of RAM, 120GB hard drive, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3 USB ports, 1 VGA port, a keyboard with spaced keys like those found on Apple's MacBook laptops, and measuring 10.4 inches x 7.1 inches x 1 inch.

The netbook weighs in at just 3.2 pounds, and has a battery life of six hours. The computer should start shipping overseas in April of 2009, no word yet on US pricing or availability.
