Announced at WWDC, Apple's 2009 renovation of its ultra-thin MacBook Air laptop starts $300 cheaper than its predecessor. The primary draw remains the same: it's the thinnest and lightest Apple laptop, weighing just three pounds. To achieve this, the MacBook Air makes a few sacrifices: it has only one USB or display port, and no optical drive.

The MacBook Air is available now in two basic configurations. At $1,499, you'll get a 1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, two gigabytes of RAM, 120 GB of hard drive space, and an integrated GeForce 9400M graphics chip. At $1,799 it's 2.13 GHz and a 128 GB solid state drive.

Apart from those things, it's identical to the previous MacBook Air, with a 13-inch screen (1280 x 800 resolution), a multi-touch trackpad, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
