Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The Acer Aspire One D250 is a netbook with a 10.1-inch screen. It's the successor to Acer's successful Aspire One D150 model, and has similar specs for the most part: a Intel Atom processor (but clocked at 1.66 GHz, faster than its predecessor), 160 gigabytes of hard drive space, and support for up to 2 GB of RAM. Its appeal is arguably its full-sized keyboard and the inclusion of a built-in, 0.3 megapixel webcam. The screen resolution is 1280 x 720.

The D250 distinguishes itself from the D150 by adding Bluetooth 2.0 and WWAN connectivity. It's available now for $329.

It will soon receive an update become Acer's first Windows 7 netbook. The Japanese launch of the Windows 7 version of the D250 is already underway, with prices starting at ¥59,800. U.S. and European versions are sure to come, but pricing and release dates haven't been made public.
