Although it's been garnering quite a bit of attention lately with it's line of budget netbooks, Acer has been manufacturing a line of "standard" notebooks over the years. The Aspire 8930, the successor to its 8920 sibling, is a beefy 18.4-inch widescreen that offers those of you who are high-end gamers with some fairly nifty features, including an Nvidia 512MB Nvidia GeForce 9700M GT graphics processor that outputs a 1920 x 1080 display resolution. The device comes with 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.0 wireless connectivity, a DVD R/RW drive (but no Blu-ray drive), and a built-in webcam. Powered by an 8-cell Li-ion battery, the Aspire 8930 provides up to 2.5 hours of unwired operation.
