Google Nexus One and HTC Supersonic 4G smartphone heading to Sprint

Sony's BDP-S350 Blu-ray player is a mid-range device with Sony's Xross (pronounced cross) menu navigation and now BD-Live support. When the player first shipped, Sony had not completed writing its firmware, requiring users to download a 56MB upgrade to add support for BD-Live Profile 2.0, granting interactive online content access to supporting titles. The update also improves the S350's BD-Java support, speeding up menu performance on discs using the technology.

Even without the firmware update, the S350 supports 7.1-channel Dolby TrueHD and Digital Plus sound formats and is compatible with xvYCC color-range enhancements, delivering a wider spectrum to screens supporting the standard. Troublesome discs, scratched or warped, are targeted by a three-way stabilizing servo to correct read errors with Sony's Precision Drive HD. The player offers a standard assortment of hook-ups, including HDMI, component video, and optical audio outputs, with a USB port available to connect a storage device for downloaded BD-Live content. Connected over its HDMI interface, the S350's BRAVIA Sync allows it to communicate with other Sony devices, allowing for one-touch movie playback.
