The Neuros LINK is a media extender device that pushes Internet video onto a connected television through the Neuros.TV online service. Users can connect the LINK without depending on streaming media from a computer and watch videos on their television displays from Hulu, YouTube, and network sites that offer free videos of their programs. Although the LINK does not have internal storage for keeping video files, it is equipped with six USB ports for connecting external devices such as hard drives to provide video footage. Neuros included capabilities for HDMI, optical S/PDIF, gigabit Ethernet and WiFi (802.11b/) connections, enabling playback as high as 1080p. A wireless keyboard-and-mouse combination comes with the device, which uses the open-source Ubuntu Linux operating system. Prices start at $300 for the gamma version.
