PS Audio's PerfectWave DAC is a digital to analog processor meant to serve as a companion device to the high resolution audio player PerfectWave Transport Memory Player. With an added internal network Bridge, the PerfectWave DAC can also serve as a music server capable of streaming high resolution music throughout a home network, compatible with music data up to 196kHz and 24 bit in size. The server plays through the audio interface I2S, intended to reduce jitter and like the Transport, it can be controlled through home automation equipment or an iPhone user interface. The DAC is expected to be released with the Transport in March 2009, although price information has not yet been released.
