Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The Sharp Aquos LC-46BD80U, announced at CES 2009, is an HDTV with a built-in Blu-ray disc player. The television has a side-loading slot through which the disc is loaded. Inserting a disc cues the television to turn on and automatically begin playback. The HD 1080p LCD television measures 46-inches and features 120Hz high frame rates and a 10-bit panel that provides improved contrast ratios and fast response times. The all-in-one home theater system offers a clear viewing angle of 176 degrees, allowing users to see the screen from almost any angle along with the swivel stand. The HDTV includes four HDMI inputs, a built-in ATSC and QAM tuner for DTV channels, an RS-232C input, and a PC input such that the TV can serve as a PC monitor. The unit is available in black with a subtle blue accent at the bottom of the frame.
