The Sharp Aquos LC-37BD60U, revealed at CES 2009, is a 37-inch full HD 1080p HDTV with an included side-loading slot for Blu-ray, DVD, and CD content. The set features an Aquos mode designed for Blu-ray playback, a 120 Hz frame rate conversion, and technology intended to reduce judder and encourage smooth film content. Sharp has also given the LC-37BD60U a 176-degree viewing angle, a high energy efficiency rating, and dynamic contrast technology designed to control brightness based on lighting conditions. The HDTV has three HDMI inputs, two component 1080p compatible HD video inputs, a built-in ATSC and QAM tuner for accessing DTV channels, a RS-232C input, and a PC input for using the set as a monitor. The suggested price is $1,199.
