Originally announced at CES 2009, the Samsung 6000 Series 31.5-inch HDTV uses edge-mounted LED backlighting technology instead of the traditional CCFL tech to provide for deeper blacks and better color quality. The technology is not unique to Samsung, but the 6000 Series is among the first releases to employ it.
Apart from that stand-out feature, it has the features you expect from a high-end LCD TV: FullHD 1080p resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 4 millisecond response time, and four HDMI ports for connecting to Blu-ray players, satellite or cable receivers, and game consoles. Samsung hasn't revealed the actual dynamic contrast ratio, instead opting to call it "Mega Dynamic Contrast." Helpful, we know!
The 6000 Series also has Samsung's Touch of Color aesthetic, which mixes deep colors in with the traditional piano black look.
