Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The LG PS80 is a full 1080p HD plasma TV, debuting at CES 2009 in 50- and 60-inch screen sizes. Offering four HDMI ports, SimpLink capability, which allows control of all connected LG components via one control, and a USB 2.0 port, the PS80's main feature is its Ethernet connectivity. Using the NetCast Entertainment Access functionality, the PS80 can access Netflix Instant Streaming, Yahoo! Widgets, YouTube movies, and media stored on a PC. Additionally, the PS80 features THX Display Certification, a performance standard designed to ensure THX-level quality, and THX Media Director, which allows digital media to self-configure home entertainment devices for optimum playback settings based on embedded metadata within the media itself.

The 50-inch LG 50PS80 is now available for an MSRP of $1,999, with the 60-inch version expected to ship at the end of summer 2009.
