3D TV coming to Best Buy this week

The Hitachi Woo UT32-XP800 is an ultra-thin 35mm/ 1.4-inch thick 32-inch LCD television, which works alongside a separate UWB wirelessly controlled tuner called the "Wooo station." Having the tuner separate from the display allows the television to be thinner than other models that have the tuner built into the display itself.

The Woo station has a built-in 250GB hard drive, iVDR-S slot for iV Pocket equipment, and an SD card slot for viewing photos taken with your digital camera. The hard drive can store up to 200 hours of video, and offers a special TV version of Yahoo!, as well as access to some video on-demand services. Connection wise, the device has three HDMI inputs, two D4, and one composite and one analog audio input. The television also offers a single HDMI output as well as an ethernet, optical digital audio, and telerecording output.

The Hitachi Woo UT47-XP800 was announced along with the 47-inch UT47-XP800, 42-inch UT42-XP800, and 37-inch UT37-XP800. All four models are expected to be available in Japan in mid-October 2009, no word yet on pricing or availability for other countries.
