The P50H401 is the larger, 50-inch sibling to Hitachi's P42H401 plasma display. Sporting what Hitatchi calls "ClearWindow technology," which adjusts the picture based on variable ambient lighting conditions, this plasma displays at 1280 x 1080 total panel resolution. The P50H401 has other standard features HDTV buyers have come to expect, like a built-in ATSC/NTSC tuner, noise reduction, histogram processing, automatic 3:2 film enhancement, 16-bit color capability, and QAM-digital-cable compatibility. The TV also features three preset color temperatures, six high definition display modes, as well as six standard definition modes.
