Product Details
British company Cello has made an unusual move with its PVR Freeview model TV; live television is recorded to a swappable SD card instead of a built-in hard drive.
That's really the biggest surprise here, but it's still unusual in other ways. For example, reports are that the TV's native resolution is 1440 x 900. As such, it doesn't support FullHD 1080p, so there's no need to connect to stuff via HDMI — good news, since the PVR Freeview doesn't have an HDMI port. However, it does have a built-in DVD player, so that's something.
The TV comes in three modest sizes — 22, 26, and 32 inches. Pricing hasn't been announced for the 22-inch model yet, but Cello is planning to release the TV in the European market in July.
