Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The Garmin nuvi 465T is the company's first GPS device designed specifically for delivery and long-haul drivers. The device allows drivers to input the size and dimensions of the vehicle they're driving, so that the GPS can create routes that avoid things such as low bridges, narrow roads, or other hazards that are best not attempted in a large, heavy vehicle.

The GPS has a 4.3-inch touchscreen, comes pre-loaded with NAVTEQ maps of the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico, and offers drivers fully functional voice-guided turn-by-turn directions so they can keep their eyes on the road, as well as subscription-free, real-time traffic updates from NAVTEQ Traffic. The device supports Bluetooth with compatible mobile phones, and can display the current speed limit for most roadways.

The Garmin nuvi 465T is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2009 for around $499.95.
