Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The Garmin nuvi 1490T is a high-end GPS with a 5-inch touchscreen. The device is 25% slimmer than most previous nuvi models and comes with lifetime traffic alerts, lane assist and junction view, and Bluetooth functionality. The GPS also supports Garmin's CityXplorer maps which offer pedestrian-friendly maps for when you're navigating on foot in a variety of locations in North America and Europe, and has an EcoRoutes function for choosing the best route fuel wise for the particular vehicle you're driving. Unlike pervious nuvi models, the 1490T also supports multi-destination routing for up to 10 routes at a time.

The Garmin nuvi 1490T is expected to be released in July 2009 with a price tag around $499.99. The CityXplorer maps are available for $9.99-$14.99 depending on the city.
