Xbox LIVE Arcade

Xbox LIVE Arcade (Or XBLA) is a service accessed through Xbox LIVE that allows Xbox 360 owners to purchase, download and play smaller games, mostly from third-party developers, than what is normally available on store shelves; a number of retro games are also available for download. Games on the service include Castle Crashers, Braid, Geometry Wars, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, among others, and span every genre from platformers to first-person shooters. The service is used by purchasing Microsoft Points —the currency of XBLA — either at a store or online, and using these Points to purchase downloadable titles. Typical prices for games on XBLA are 400, 800, 1200, and 1600 Microsoft Points.
