Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Windows Mobile

Windows Mobile, created by Microsoft, is an operating system for Pocket PCs, smartphones, and PDA phones. The OS itself comprises two separate platforms: Windows Mobile Standard edition and Windows Mobile Professional edition. Software developed for one platform is exclusive to that edition, and a separate distribution must be used on the other platform. Windows Mobile Professional edition incorporates a touchscreen interface (with handwriting recognition), a Start menu similar to the PC operating system equivalent, large color display, and a fairly large amount of memory available for applications. Before Windows Mobile version 6, the OS was called Windows Mobile for Smartphones and Windows Mobile Professional was known as Windows Mobile for PocketPC. With support of applications such as Pocket Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer browser, Windows Mobile has much of the functionality of Windows.
