WiiWare
WiiWare is a collection of downloadable applications and games for the Nintendo Wii gaming console, accessable from the Wii Shop Channel. Unlike the Virtual Console (also on the Wii), WiiWare is focused on creating new content where as the Virtual Console is primarily for classic or remastered games on previous Nintendo systems. WiiWare, by contrast, was marketed to smaller gave developers who wanted to release a title without the additional costs of creating a hard copy and selling it through store locations.
