VRAM
VRAM, short for Video Random Access Memory, is a type of computer memory optimized for video applications. The main difference between VRAM and other types of RAM is that it is "dual-ported," meaning data can simultaneously be written to and read from it.
VRAM is not used in modern graphics systems, as other technologies have caught up in cost and performance, but the term "VRAM" is sometimes used generically (and incorrectly) to refer to any kind of memory used in graphics cards.
