Virtual Console
The Nintendo Wii Virtual Console is an online service which provides Wii owners with an extensive back catalogue of classic Nintendo games for purchase from previous consoles (NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Sega Master System, etc.) as well as more contemporary updates and online games for the Wii. Downloaded games from the Virtual Console are stored on the Wiis internal flash memory, but can also be removed to an SD card. Some of the classic games have been updated by Nintendo with improved graphics and increased frame rates, as well, to take advantage of the Wii’s computing powers.
