Subnotebook
Subnotebooks are a class of computers that are designed primarily for portability. They are also sometimes referred to interchangeably as netbooks or ultraportable computers. Using a laptop and/or tablet configuration, subnotebooks generally have a screen that is 14 inches or smaller. They forgo internal optical drives in order to keep size and weight down, and most have keyboards that are smaller than a standard, full-size model. Performance, too, is sacrificed, as subnotebooks are intended for on-the-go, light computing and not CPU-heavy design work or gaming.
