Spreadsheet

A spreadsheet is a type of computer application or file that displays a 2D grid that forms multiple cells in which alphanumeric text or data can be written in. Spreadsheets also allow for complex formulae which call upon many other cells in the spreadsheet to be written into a cell. These formulae then calculate the value of that particular cell on the fly. This makes spreadsheets perfect for accounting and bookkeeping purposes, as a change to any cell is instantly represented in the cell with the formula inside it. The most common spreadsheet software on the market is Microsoft Excel, and can be used for anything from accounting to game engine creation.
