Speech-to-text
Speech-to-text, or speech recognition, refers to the ability of a device to recognize human speech and began specific operations based on verbal commands. Speech recognition software uses algorithms to translate speech into data inputs, which can be useful when speaking a telephone number to a mobile phone with speech-to-text capabilities or dictating to a word processor. The more advanced speech recognition systems allow for lengthy dictation, while simpler forms are known as "command and control," composed of speech triggers that devices are already set up to receive and used by many phones as a hands-free voice dialing option for calling people listed in contacts.
