SD card

SD stands for Secure Digital, a non-volatile flash memory card format used to store information in digital cameras, GPS devices, handheld devices, computers, PDAs, cell phones, smartphones, and handheld video game systems. SD Cards have maximum memory of 4GB and most have a tiny switch to toggle write protection just like a floppy disk. Larger capacities are available via a newer specification called SDHC, sometimes refered to as SD 2.0. SD Cards come in MicroSD, MiniSD, SDHC, SD Plus, SDIO flavors.
