Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

QVGA

QVGA is a screen resolution in 4:3 aspect ratio, one quarter the size of VGA. As VGA is 640 by 480 pixels, QVGA halves each dimension to 320 by 240 to achieve one-quarter the total pixel count.

QVGA is often used a screen size in portable devices such as smartphones, though it faces competition from higher resolution and widescreen formats. Some lower-end digital cameras are able to record video in QVGA, as the lower pixel count decreases file size and processing power needed to compress the video in real time.
