PlayStation Network
The PlayStation Network, or PSN, is Sony's online gaming service and community. Much like Microsoft's Xbox LIVE, the PlayStation Network includes features such as gamer profiles, feedback, messaging, online gaming, and a marketplace called the PlayStation Store. However, unlike Xbox LIVE, the PlayStation Network is free for anyone who has a valid e-mail address. The PSN is available for both PS3 and PSP for both multiplayer gaming and game purchases. Much like a PC, PSN online gaming leans towards server browsers instead of matchmaking in contrast to the matchmaking service offered on Xbox LIVE.
