Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

OTA

OTA refers to Over-The-Air transmission of data, such as broadcasting terrestrial TV channels. While satellite TV systems bounce signals from orbiting satellites, terrestrial towers broadcast OTA signals that can be picked up by an appropriate tuner. As of February 2009, an ATSC tuner is required to pick up HD signals. Many broadcast companies, such as ABC, NBC, or CBS, transmit digital signals from their stations.

OTA may also refer to downloading cell phone applications directly from a phone via a compatible network.
