NDA
An NDA or non-disclosure agreement is a type of contract, whether implied or written down, that prevents one party from revealing details about another party's plans. In technology, NDAs are frequently required for members of the media to talk about products and services that are still in development, and typically have an expiration date relating to when the company can release reports detailing the products. Apple recently used an NDA to preclude members of its iPhone development community from discussing the internal specifications of the iPhone, and preventing users from talking about the development process one with another. Many software developers protested, eventually leading Apple to drop their NDA, and even implement developer forums for the iPhone.
