MVNO
MVNOs, short for mobile virtual network operators, are wireless service operators that do not have their own licensed spectrum, instead leasing cellular bandwidth from another mobile service provider. In other words, an MVNO does not actually own the network its voice and data transmissions are carried on.
They usually offer subscription-based services for voice and/or data and distinguish themselves through branding and marketing. Examples include VirginMobileUSA, who leases bandwidth from Sprint.
