multi-touch

Multi-touch refers to a touchscreen interface that can be used with more than one finger at a time to perform more complex tasks. While one-touch displays use the traditional resistive screens that allows users to enter single commands similar to clicking a mouse or write short messages with a stylus, multi-touch displays are more often found on capacitive screens that can sense pressure and movement to a finer degree. While multi-touch screens are found in computer systems, one of the well-known uses is in the iPhone and iPod Touch, where the multi-touch function can be used to play games or zoom in on pictures.
