MMC (MultiMediaCard)
The MultiMediaCard is a flash memory card format. The standard, also known as MMC, was first introduced in 1997. The MMC has largely been superseded by the Secure Digital card (SD), but can still be used in most SD compatible devices. Typically used in devices such as cell phones, MP3 players, digital cameras, and PDAs, there are a number of variations on the original MMC design that vary in the number of pins, transfer speed, and size. The MMC standard form factor measures 0.94 in x 1.26 in x 0.055 in.
