Micro 4/3rds

Micro 4/3rds is a new camera format that takes the highlights of bulky DSLRs, like interchangable lenses and extreme manual controls, and pairs them with a smaller, more pocketable body style by eliminating some DSLR features like a reflex mirror box. Micro 4/3rds cameras, like the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1, typically drop the "real" viewfinder, and instead simply rely on a live view LCD or electronic viewfinder. Many industry watchers expect Micro 4/3rds cameras to be the next high growth area for digital photography.
