LED

An LED, or light-emitting diode, is a type of diode that emits light of certain colors depending on the type of material used inside. LEDs were traditionally used as indicators in watches, cell phones, laptops, and various other electronic devices, though now the technology has been extended to replace traditional light bulbs, and form large outdoor displays. LEDs do not take much power and have a longer lifespan compared to their incandescent counterparts, allowing the objects to which they are attached to have a longer battery life.
