HSPA

HSPA is a term referring to two related mobile phone data network protocols, HSDPA and HSUPA, the downlink and uplink protocols of the High-Speed Packet Access standard. HSPA is an upgrade to WCDMA (aka UMTS) cellular networks that doubles capacity and increases data speeds in excess of five times to a current theoretical maximum of 7.2 Mbps.
