FCC stands for the Federal Communication Commission. The independent agency was established in the United States in 1934 as a result of the communications Act of 1934. The Commission's job is to regulate communications in all 50 states in the US that are done via cable, television, radio, wire, or satellite. Commissioners are appointed to the FCC by the president.

The main job of the FCC is to ensure that all communications are available to all Americans regardless of their race, religious preferences, or sex and are provided at a reasonable cost.
