Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

EV-DO Rev. A

Revision A is an upgrade to the original CDMA EV-DO Release 0 standard that provides faster data transfer speeds (especially in the upload/uplink direction) and improves latency, enabling advanced features such as Voice over IP and video calls. In the U.S., the major CDMA carriers Verizon and Sprint support EV-DO Rev. A on their 3G networks, with the rough equivalent in the GSM world (AT&T and T-Mobile in the U.S.) being HSDPA data protocols and speeds.
