3D TV coming to Best Buy this week

DTV

Digital television or DTV refers to the sending and receiving of moving images and sound by discrete digital signals, as opposed to the continuous broadcast stream of analog TV. Digital television has the potential to allow higher-quality images, sound, and more programming choices than analog does, even while occupying less bandwidth.

Although broadcast stations in the US still broadcast in both analog and digital, Congress has mandated that February 17, 2009 would be the last day for full-power television stations to broadcast in analog so that they can use the spectrum that is freed up for emergency communication. After this date, full-power television stations will broadcast in digital only.
