Composite

Composite typically refers to composite video, which is a type of signal traditionally transmitted over cables with RCA plugs at the end. Composite video is a standard for connecting video devices to TVs, and has a connector standard since the 80s. Though due to the relative low-quality of the signal being transmitted, composite video has been eschewed in HDTVs for component video and digital connectors HDMI and DisplayPort. Composite video typically is marked by its yellow RCA connector, and is usually paired with stereo audio, with red and white connectors.
