Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

CompactFlash

CompactFlash is a type of flash memory used for storing and transferring data, most often image devices such as cell phones, cameras, or camcorders and less portable desktops or laptops. Originally created by SanDisk in the 1990s, CompactFlash memory cards are now used mostly in higher-end DSLR digital cameras or larger devices, with smaller cards now used with smaller devices. There are two main types of CompactFlash cards, a 3.3-millimeter and a 5.5-millimeter model. While many CompactFlash cards fall between the normal range of 2 to 16 GB of storage capacity, the CF+ standard allows you to store up to 137 GB of data.
