client
A client in computing is any hardware or software that connects to a server to access the services that the server provides. Software clients include things such as web browsers, online gaming lobbies, FTP clients, or database clients. Both the software that is used to connect to the server as well as the machine that connects to the server are referred to as the client in computing.
