Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Barcode

A barcode is a black and white symbol composed of black bars that is used to represent a person, place or product. Barcodes are comprised of three parts: the character start, the data characters (which identify the object), and the stop characters. They’re readable by optical scanners and are nearly universal in supermarkets as a means to identify products. Other, less common barcodes don't use bars but instead include dots, matrixes, and other symbologies with black and white areas represented in a codified way.
