The iPad has landed.

Nintendo's Game Boy Color (GBC), successor to the original Game Boy, was released in North America in November 19, 1998. Though released after the Game Boy Pocket, which was seen as a slimming down of the original Game Boy, the GBC was Nintendo's first handheld system to be backward-compatible. Further improvements on the line included a faster processor, 32k of RAM, the ability to play games with more content than those developed for the Game Boy, and an infrared port for wireless communication between units. The housing itself came in a number of colors, and featured both solid and translucent cases, and special branded units like the Pokémon Edition, the Pokémon Center Edition, and the Hello Kitty Edition. While games development has moved on from the GBC to the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo still supports the Game Boy Color with technical articles on its website.
